
It is located half a mile east of Sandal Island, which is situated in the southeast of the Samos Strait.
Small Sandal Island is located in the middle of the bay.
The mouth of the bay faces southwest. The northern side of the bay is shallow and visible to the eye.
Entry to the small bay is from the south of the island. Immediately after the island remaining on the port side, the bay begins to shallow.
There is limited maneuvering capability in this small bay.
The bottom is a mixture of sand and weed. Depth ranges between 3-5 meters.
It is suitable for anchoring between the island and the mainland during day trips.
If staying overnight in the bay or if other vessels are present, taking a shore line from land is absolutely necessary.
The eastern side of the island is very suitable for this purpose. Additionally, it is advisable to moor considering the bottom may be risky for anchoring.
Many seagulls live on the island and their sounds are constantly heard.
There is a pebble beach at the end of the bay. Wild boar tracks can be found as the shore is pristine.
During passages through the Dilek Strait, it is a place where one can stay for rest and shelter purposes, after the more sheltered and secure Su Island Bay.
